Standards

"Projects focused on integrating leading-edge technologies are dramatically simplified and de-risked when the client organization is already 'standards-compliant' or is actively implementing best practice process models."

ASD S3000L
S3000L defines the processes, general requirements and related information exchange governing the performance of LSA during the life cycle of aerospace and defence products. This specification may also be used for complex technical products from other industrial domains.

ANSI EIA 649
This standard defines Configuration Management (CM) terminology and describes a CM process using five CM functions and their underlying fundamental principles. A complex product such as an electronic system, a military weapon, or other product that must be supported over the complete product life cycle and therefore requires a robust CM approach.

MIL-HDBK-61
This handbook provides guidance to DoD managers assigned the responsibility for configuration management on how to ensure the application of product and data configuration management to defence materiel items, in each phase of their life cycle.

MIL-STD 1388
This standard provides general requirements and task descriptions governing performance of Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) during the life cycle of systems and equipment.

ISO 10303 (STEP)
The International standard's objective is to provide a mechanism that is capable of describing product data throughout the life cycle of a product, independent from any particular system. The nature of this description makes it suitable not only for neutral file exchange, but also as a basis for implementing and sharing product databases and archiving.

CMMI
CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes, which will improve their performance.
